Aqua-PVR, a joint subsidiary of Aqua American and Penn-Virginia Resources, purchased the park, kicked the residents out, so they could sell water to the natural gas corporations.Now the residents of Old Lycoming Township face a similar problem. No, the residents aren’t being evicted, but their water supply is being threatened by a proposed water withdrawal station.Centura Development Co. plans on building a withdrawal station that will suck approximately 2 million gallons of water from the Lycoming Creek watershed and sell it to the natural gas corporations.
