Carroll County To Be Site of $800 Million Natural Gas-Fired Power Plant?

From The Independent:
A Boston-based company announced plans Tuesday to build a natural gas-fired power plant near the village that will generate enough electricity to power 700,000 homes.
The 700-megawatt Carroll County Energy project is planned for a 77-acre site some 2.5 miles north of the village on state Route 9, said Jonathan W. Winslow, director of development for Advanced Power North America.

The power plant still needs approval by the Ohio Power Siting Board, which can take up to a year, and would take up to three years to build, Winslow said.
