Seminar Scheduled to Discuss How Local Companies Can Get Into Midstream Infrastructure Mix

“Information about (the midstream market) has been lacking. People don’t understand there’s a whole part of that industry that doesn’t involve drilling that’s an excellent business opportunity,” Poorman said. “There’s a lot of money being spent. There’s a great business opportunity there.” 
Locally, there might be opportunities for any number of companies, Poorman said, including machine shops, welding or industrial supply companies or safety equipment sellers, to name a few. 
“The (midstream) segment itself is needed for the oil and gas industry to grow in Ohio. There’s a lack of infrastructure to move the product to market,” Poorman said.
