Ohio Passes 500 Wells Drilled in Utica Shale on Latest Report

The latest weekly report from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources is out, and it was another busy week for permitting in Carroll County.

14 new permits were issued last week.  6 of those were for Carroll County, bringing the total number of permits there to 318.  3 more permits were for Guernsey County, 2 for Harrison County, 2 for Trumbull County, and 1 for Noble County.

The new total for permits in Ohio's Utica shale is 841, with 502 wells drilled and 125 producing.  The Utica rig count is 34.
