2 of 5 Corporex Hotels Are Under Way in Utica Shale Region

Corporex started on a 99-room Fairfield Inn, located adjacent to a major travel corridor in south Canton on Interstate 77 and Faircrest Avenue, about a month ago. This $13 million project was financed with a construction loan from WesBanco. This site is being prepared for another hotel in the future.
The second hotel underway is a 100-roomCandlewood Suites in Carrollton, located in the heart of exploration activity. Construction started on this $13.3 million hotel in early November, with financing provided by Tri-State Capital Bank.
The two hotels are expected to take 12 months to build and will be open by this time next year.

Equinor Finalizes Sale of Bakken Shale Assets

  Equinor, a Norwegian-owned petroleum company, has finally completed the sale of their onshore assets in the Bakken Shale. Their decision to sell their assets comes after a decade of multibillion-dollar losses and criticism for their bad investment choices. Equinor has sold all its operated and non-operated acreage (along with their midstream assets) in the Bakken region in North Dakota and Montana to Grayson Mill Energy for a total of $900 million.  They will continue to operate their assets for the coming four months, after which they'll hand over all of the operations to Grayson Mill Energy.
