Utica Shale Permitting Still Slow; Rig Count Up by One

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources has made available the weekly permitting report for last week.  As has been the case for several weeks now, there is barely a pulse in the Utica shale in terms of new permitting.  Only two new permits were issued.  The Utica rig count increased from 10 on the previous report to 11 on this one.  There are now 2,187 permits issued, 1,755 wells drilled, and 1,334 wells producing.
